As for Washbrook, retrograde signing, not because he can't do 'a job', but because we have Abdul because Whiting could play 13 even Thompson, given how we now have two halves of a decent quality we aren't using the 13 position in the same way as we have previously when we didn't. But IF we are selling Westerman, that is the ONLY reason it would make sense to sign Washbrook
Washbrook doesn't seem big enough for the type of forward Radford seems to prefer. I think The Wail hinted he would be used to spell Houghton, Cunningham on his way out?
Not really. The past three seasons at Wakey Washbrook has been average. Poor distribution, slow, hardly made a break or metres. Most of the time he is the second or third man in a tackle. I do suppose he's alright cover but you do not see the likes of Wigan or Saints coveting his signing.
