It's my case that supporting a club isn't a purely rational transaction. If we supported only success we'd all be Leeds Rhinos fans.
Supporting a club is a turbulent pastime. If everyone ditched it when the going got tough, there'd be no club to return to when the sun came out. AP's made mistakes and as I've repeated should be more humble in admitting them. But our greatest chance of success, (and avoiding a firesale) IMO is to back what the club are trying to do. I believe the more supporters we can get back, and the greater the revenue we can generate, the better our chance of challenging. Just my opinion.
I agree with much of what you say and like you I continue to back the club but I can understand the reasons of those who have decided they can no longer do so.
At the end of the day only a better product on the field will stop more fans leaving and hopefully bring back those who have already gone.
First there was wisdom Then there was knowledge Now there is only information
To be fair, do we know that the club were actively trying to sell a player to balance the books? Maybe an offer came in for a player that Radford thought could easily be replaced internally and / or didn't want to be at the club anyway. The culture of the club has been a problem for years on end. Maybe he is shipping out those, no matter how high profile, that don't fit into the culture he's trying to build? Salford have a cash rich owner. Didn't stop them taking £100K off us for Sneyd though.

@James_Smailes: @jameshullfc not skint but balancing books. Crowds down, paid 100k for sneyd last year, new training ground etc. if player wants out, sell

And three & a half years of under achievement since he took over????? i25k/140k is a steal for a 22yr old of his ability, & I don't buy `it doesn't matter' because we have Lancaster & Naughton, - they've only played a handful of games between them. Lower crowds Imo is down to the excruciatingly boring rugby served up over the last couple of seasons. Exciting players attract crowds - we have 2 - Lineham, & Shaul who if the rumours have any substance is also on his way out. A couple of years ago our backline was Shaul (McDonnel) Lineham, Crooks, Yeaman, Briscoe Young/ promising , all with their best years in front of them (OK one obvious exception) If Shaul goes we've lost the lot, except Yeaman. - Progress?????

Heard from reliable source that lineham had a fall out with Radford and is now regretting his decision but the deal is done

Love the way the cuddle crew seem to trying to be blaming me (and about 5000 others) for Lineham being sold. All most of us have wanted is to feel confident that the team we pay to watch are putting the effort in and being entertaining. For me, the mrs and kids to go watch FC its £100+ and quite frankly the rugby has been dire for years with repeated false dawns and abject performances but whilst and im not rich and can easily find better and more enjoyable things to blow £100 on. That said ive got renewed optimism to the point that i plan on attending the Cas/Wakey home games so call me fickle, i dont care
