I have just been looking at the final few fixtures.

If we can win 4 out of the last 7 games then we should make the top 8 (Even with 3, ill think we will make it, as Widnes would have to win 4, Rovers and Salford 5)

5 wins and we should finish 6th and an outside chance of 4th/5th.

A win next week, would really give us a decent chance of finishing in the top 4, which a few weeks ago, was unthinkable.

Could do with Wigan beating Hudds on Sunday.

It will be disappointing if we don't win our 3 home games plus wakey away but I think 3 will see us in the top 8. salford will be in the bottom 4 and I don't see either rovers or widnes overtaking us if we get to 22 points

With all due respect, we should beat Wakey twice and we shoul beat Cas at home. Even after MW I would not like to predict the Derby. I doubt we will get much at Headingley, especially with the cup game just 5 days later. Wigan at home we haven't beaten since 2010. So the Cats game becomes a very important match.

Just noticed widnes are on 15 points not the 14 I thought so there is a reasonable chance they will get to 23 so we maybe do need to win 4

wigan have been very poor away from home this season and this is a game i think we can win, however if we only win the 2 games against wakey and 1 against cas we should make the 8. all else is a bonus. think we will get beat at leeds and cats

I think the Catalans and Leeds games are free hits - even a point from the two games would be a bonus. Both tough places to go.

Wakefield may have the boost that a new coach brings but if we don't win both games we don't deserve to finish in the top eight.

Hopefully a place in the top eight is sorted before the final game against Wigan, especially as it's a Thursday game and the other clubs in the mix will know what they have to do.

We need to be in striking distance of the top 4 after 23 rounds or we'll be playing meaningless matches for a quarter of a season.

The way it is going I think we will be, if we can get 4 wins we should be within 2 points of 4th as I don't see any of the teams from 4th-7th winning 5 more games.

New system seems to be working well.

I expect the top 8 to stay as it is now (although not on the same order)

Whilst te top three may pull away it's unlikely that the 4th will be beyond reach at the start of the Super 8s.

Lets concentrate on making the eight before moaning about not making the top four.

I'd say 10 points is a strong possibility. That said I always feel we are one lacklustre performance away from doom again. Glass half empty and all that. If and I obviously accept its a big if, we do get 10 points we have to be looking at the top 4 and from there who knows what could happen. Our points difference will be crucial I feel in the final shake up. Which ironically might mean that all the poor performances we had when we failed to win, but didn't concede massive points may make a difference.
There really isn't any one team who are seriously head and shoulders above the rest. Even the big three of Sts, Leeds and Wigan look beatable. Keep a strong fit squad confident and you never know. Our 150th year (16th for those from the dark side ) may just be memorable after all.
