Not sure I'd agree with that - I think McShane's passing from dh and decision making is better, Houghton being a better defender and runner, & both have a fairly decent kicking game. I think they'd compliment each other quite well.
I wouldn't be disappointed if we did go into 2016 with him & Cunningham though.

Don't disagree it's important but you could see him wincing a bit at points yesterday, still wearing the rib padding and short turnaround - if Thompson's fit might be an opportunity to rest him.
