Really disappointing news which takes the shine off the taylor signing for me. Leaves us weaker in the front row that I was expecting. ellis is OK at prop but he's a workhorse, not an impact payer. We'll really miss paea

Disappointed to be losing Paea as this season he has for me not only been a stand out performer for us as a club but in terms of SL in general too as the form prop.
I would hope we would look to replace Paea with another player similar to him as Taylor will have been an addition to the forwards not just a replacement. So a like for like replacement for Paea is a must.
I really enjoy long walks especially when they are taken by people I don't like!

Losing Paea is a big blow. If we had him, Taylor and Watts we would have 3 of the best props in SL.
I can't criticise him for wanting to take the family back home and play first grade NRL. He's been great for us and I hope his form continues for the rest of the season.
It leaves us with 2 very good starting props in Watts and Taylor but the back up is not so good. I'm assuming Feka will be released and Ellis will move up to prop but as has been said he is a work horse and seems to be picking up more and more injuries.
If you add Green and Bowden together they probably make one decent prop.
I really like Thompson but I'm not convinced he is a prop.
I haven't seen enough of BTW to judge him.
So, do we need another prop?
First there was wisdom Then there was knowledge Now there is only information

I'd say so. The club had already signed Taylor and still attempted to re-sign Paea so I'd expect us to bring someone else in.
