I'd known him since we both worked in shipping in the late 60s/early 70s and it doesn't seem that long ago that he was telling me about the death of his business partner Des. Vince, like Des was a passionate Rovers supporter and although the banter got a bit extreme at times, it was usually taken in good spirit.
That now makes four old mates and my ex-wife who've slipped off the hook this year.
RIP Vince
Just to echo your words,
I had many a "decent" rally of posts on here and via PM. Vince had strong opinions, some of which we were never going to agree on but some of which were spot on. He knew his stuff and could see through a lot of a BS which was pumped out of both Hull clubs 5-10 years ago.

I too remember him from the early days of this forum. Always sad to hear. RIP Vincenzo.

Vince was a top poster back in the day, never any trouble and was always good with the banter.
I have missed his input for so long now

never had too much direct conflict with him in a thread (as a lot of them were financial which i have little interest in) but i enjoyed reading the threads from time to time. you always knew if a thread was along the lines of club accounts (or lack of accounts) Vince would be on there giving it his best shot. Sad loss
Quote:Was told about this thread, sad news, had to come on and pay my respects to Vincent who gave as good as he got on these forums defending his beloved Robins whilst sending me many a private message about how he'd been giving many of you the run around. Sadly I never had the pleasure of meeting him in person but his passion for all things Rovers shone out of the screen. RIP Vincent, sympathies to all his family and friends.
