SL tenure of almost a decade, losing £3-4m, taking on debt of £2m for the new stand, winning one play-off game (against Agar), not got beyond QF of the cup (I think), and Craig Sandercock. That's some legacy.

Is it? I thought people went to Soccer Sensations, the feedback on Jake Quickenden was one of embarrassment, coupled with some crappy interviews with players where the announcer got their names wrong. Aspirational.

My work is connected with KR and from that and some of my Rovers mates i get a sense of buzz from them and have done for years, a buzz thats been lacking from FC fans and indeed the club. It embraces and actively encourages local KR supporting business people to get involved with the club in any way they can which is something FC does not - FC is almost sterile to the customer or local business with very little connection and it shows. Ive got lots of FC friends too and very few have any pride or connection with FC anymore including myself. Our club is a mess from top to bottom, a rudderless ship with a captain akin to Francesco Schettino of Costa Concordia fame and thats not gonna change whilst Pearson remains at the club

Yeah, this must be why Rob Crossland tweeted after Rovers fans bellyaching about their poor start to the season something like "Monday's word of the day: fickle". How does their community programme compare to ours in terms of hours spent by players in local schools, courses run etc? This utopian scenario of fan pride was embodied by a full 150 fans tipping up at the DW. I don't disagree that FC could do more with local business, but painting a picture that Hull KR are some sort of trailblazer is pushing it. Fans (including parents of players) regularly slate their club's reporting (or entire lack thereof) of the academies for example, whereas I would argue FC are more proactive in this regard. It's not as polarised as you make out, at all. Let's have a list of the specific elements of superlative matchday experience at Hull KR for the average supporter, then we can ask AP to replicate.

I'm not sure about the Malcolm/Jason/Shane Walker reference. The last accounts seem to show private investment funds took a controlling share in April last year.
