Numb right now he was in the year above me at school. He will be fondly remembered at Fax (drop goal to get us into 2011 NRC final) and Cougars (playing a pivotal role n your 2009 NL2 GF win) its heartbreaking that he leaves behind 5 month twins just puts sport and life into perspective

Really difficult to process whats happened today, my thoughts go out to his young babies and family, Danny was a very good rugby league player who appeared against Widnes a number of times throughout his career.

Sad news. Rip danny

Am completely stunned and devastated by this news. My thoughts are with Danny's family first and foremost, but also with everyone at the Cougars - players, staff and fellow supporters. My last memory of Danny will be that drop goal going over in the final seconds last week to win us the game, a memory I will now cherish. Just can't believe this. RIP Danny Jones.
