How Michaels and Yeaman get a game before Naughton is unbelievable.

This would be my team from that squad, but it wont be.

Shaul
Micheals
Talanoa
Rankin
Lineham
Pryce
Sneyd
Watts
Cunningham
BTW
Mini
Sa
Abdul

Houghton
Thomspon
Feka
Whiting (Good to have him back)

Agree with you and others that this is kind of indicative of our problems. Selection just doesn't seem to be driven by performance. What reason do players have to perform at Hull? If you're an established player you'll play regardless, if you're a fringe player you'll perpetually used as a stopgap and little more. We're reliant on players' personal pride and competitiveness, but the last few years have shown us that we can't count it.

Also I'd have you over Howarth in the squad, there must an under 19's player better than him, who would love to be called up.
I wouldn't disagree about Naughton, but if Sa is going back to centre then he would probably drop out of the 19 anyway.
I always assume that Howarth would always drop out of the 19, but he's played plenty at loose forward, so that, unfortunately, is probably why he's been getting picked.

Is Hodgson the new Griffin, or is it all about pace?

The U19's could be called on surely?

Exactly right. Not claiming he's a world-beater, but he's come in and played well, and as you say we won every game. Dropping him for someone who has been underperforming for a while just sends out completely the wrong message.

If Howath is holding back a u19 player then AP and LR should hang their heads in shame

He was right in the end

Well, one is playing, and at least 2 candidates are out injured, and they're playing Rovers on Saturday, which may or may not be significant.

Howarth has been playing LF (For about 20 minutes)

I would rather play Abdul, Downs, Fash or Turgut.

Got to agree about naughton think he's done enough to play. Plus surely yeaman can't play. Cricky we argue on here all the time but yeaman is the one thing everybody agrees on

It begs the question as to why Ben Crooks was shipped off to Aus yet Yeaman is getting picked no matter how he performs.
