I'm not sure of the extent of Wheeler's injury but he left CP on crutches following the game.

Well done Keighley, wishing you a speedy return to the Championship.

The Dual Reg gods have it in for you don't they, Kevin Penny and Wheeler lining up against you, the whole system stinks.

I think we got a few 'monkeys off our backs' from the end of last season yesterday and I hope we can now kick on to play as we know we can and believe in ourselves.

In all my years of following RL I have still to see match officials change a decision especially when a player is giving them verbal's! It will never happen, yet players insist on doing it. Why bother, they are only wasting energy.

What seems to have happened though is the marching the players 10 yard (metres) for verbal's seems only to be used occasionally these days. It was one of the strengths of the game and gained respect from players and fans alike IMO. Now we have the boorish behaviour that pervades Mo & Ron Ball's game. RL is a better game than that at all levels and should show it.

Same with the flapping on the ground when tackled. Also how many players have got off the ground with the flapping arms routine? Lots of player do it to no effect and yet they still try and waste energy doing it.

What a dramatic finish! Our lads earned that in the second half. Our attack seemed to be mis-firing a bit but the effort and commitment were definitely there and that's surely what we all want to see. Some of the lads must be hurting this morning - Ash Lindsay for starters, he fair put some graft in yesterday. Great to see Andy Gabriel haring off down the wing as well; many players on opposing teams will only see the back of him as he leaves them for dust this season. What a great crowd as well - 1,011. Where did all them come from? Really hope we can keep this winning run going and get more and more people down at Cougar Park. Surely all those who saw that yesterday will be hungry for more...?
.
After Kevin Penny scored his try yesterday my mate remarked to one of the Crusaders players 'Surely you must agree this dual reg is a nonsense?'. I don't know whether he expected a reply but he did get one. The lad just shrugged and said 'It is what it is' which I didn't take to be a disagreement. In fact I think, in not so many words, he was saying he agreed. North Wales are a good team; I like the way they play - they're fast and they support each other well. I'm sure they could hold their own without Warrington's 'assistance'.

We are from Keighley. We are NOT Bradfordians.

But apart from the last 15 mins the game as a whole considering the rosters on both sides was pretty a poor one lots of errors, niggling at the play the ball and penalties again im on about the game in general not just Keighley.

Quick on the dual reg thing I hate it - but for me I did feel Crusaders best player was Wheeler when he was on - he had pretty much a free reign and was a real reason why they had the better 1st half - im pretty sure he went off for a nock. Penny had a great game and overall from start to finish had a good game (we peppered him lots with little joy) he did look very fit and used to playing at a higher level - The other 2 DR players did not stand out at all for me.

Crusaders in general should have punished us more than they did especialy in that first stanza - lost count of the drop outs we did - Just lacked that killer punch at times - If they had of had another try and the gap was 3 scores or more at the break im sure they would have won it easy

For us by far Tiger was the MOM. The start was excellent until we scored - I don't know what it was but getting that first try was probably not a good thing we seemed to switch straight off and only pick back up Again in that final 15. Overall as a team I felt we were poor and it was a good job the margin was low when we started playing better as a team. Ok im not going to knock DJ too much as he did excellently at the end with that drop goal under that pressure, but he in general was poor his final pass was poor mostly ball hitting the ground etc and he missed more tackles than anyone else. Upfront we kind of cancel each other out at times Scott Law and Rollo especially put in hard graft and Lindsay was decent too but I felt we just lacked that shickle' esc player at times to really get that edge upfront. And for me every second time you saw one of the March's it was when they were chirping at the ref.

Negative on a win yes, but I did feel That cougar team should have done much better today that's all -

Spin it positively to get that win against what on paper was a good team inc 4 SL players and play as poor as that just shows with the improvement that can be made that the season can be a good one and I do firmly feel if Keighley play to the best of their ability even more so after seeing that game today no team in that league will match them. Looking at the players reaction after the DJ DG and the embracement of the crowd shows great positives. I think they will improve next week and smash London to pieces

c'mon you cougars and a decent crowd too

Cant really argue with any of that post.

Happy we got the points in the end up but please can you make
it easier on yourselves cougars ? need to cut back on the schoolboy errors
in both attack and defrnse.

Perry and Wheeler were a pain in the butt ...... shows what a farce DR is.

BUT we got the win which is the important thing !

Well done cougars ......now to get a massive points diff ' at
London and reclaim the top of the table .

Oh and Batley and Doncaster lost too

It was Stuart Reardon (I was the old b*gg*r with beard and cloth cap standing nearby). Thanks for the kind words about our style, some of the dual reg business with us is a nasty injury list which may have got worse but for all that I thought that you should have won a bit more comfortably than you did!

"Matty Bowen is unlikely to suffer the IGNOMINY of being put out on dual registration despite losing his place in the Wigan team!" (League Weekly) Puts a whole new slant on the players booted out to lower divisions.

Realy enjoyed the game today well done Keighley. THANK YOU FOR A GREAT WELCOME FROM THE CLUB AND SUPPORTERS, good luck for rest of season, we hate duel reg as much as any body but im afraid when Warrington tell us to play some one we seem to do it, would love to see us play our own team no outsiders ,
