Think it's a great idea, just what the game needs imo , like previous poster said , doesn't have to be an overseas player, means every team should have a world class player, can only be good. Be interesting to see say Wakefield make an offer to a Wigan player to make them the marquee player

could be surplus to requirements next season, with the interchange rule
reduced from 12 to 10...

I think you're massively underestimating the amounts involved. There's plenty of players knocking around the league now on £120k I reckon.


Unless it was somebody who'd been in RL first (Eastmond, Burgess etc.) then nobody will take the risk of signing a RU player.

NRL are reducing it to 8. Carney said on sky a while back that he and someone at the RFL were backing plans to reduce it to 6! It'd be utterly ridiculous. As Peter Sterling said, you've got to keep these big guys in the game, that's not the way to go.

RE Hodges, awesome player and current SOO, the sort of names we should be linked with. Saw him play a game in the halves last year in his dinner suit, just too good. He's a prize prick, not that it makes any difference. Would like a younger centre though, it's definitely an area we need quality. Strange to think less than two years ago we had a homegrown centre in the dream team, how things can change.
