Forgot about Mike Dixon tbh, always enjoyed watching him play. His turn of pace at times was electrifying, remember him going around Graham Steadman like he wasn't there. I agree about Treister, how on earth he's getting a place in anyone's top 3 is baffling.
Who was the hooker we got that came from Gateshead, he wasn't a bad player.

Just a reminder to some of the people here that this supposed to be an all time greatest Hull team, not just the last 25 years which in any case haven't been historically that successful. Of course we all have favourite players that we have personally seen and no doubt have a natural bias towards them and being a relatively old git myself I have probably seen more than the majority of posters in here. None the less there are some old timers - from way before my time who have left an enduring legacy and have metaphorically been there and got the T shirts - whole wardrobes of them in fact. Just a suggestion but you can get an idea of how players were rated by their peers by the representative honours they collect. The best players tend to feature in the eras when the side was better - making finals and placing high in the league and to make an impact at Hull they need to play a decent number of games as well. So to some I would just say step back and think a minute - was your favourite an international when at Hull? Did he break any records? How many games did he play and did he shine in the big ones? If you honestly think that he ticks those boxes then go ahead but remember we are supposed to be looking back over more than 100 years and there may be better candidates.
As I said earlier in the thread Ronnie Wileman was a personal favourite of mine to watch but he's nowhere near the best to play for Hull, you can enjoy players whilst recognising their limits.
Sorry I had to rant on a bit but to suggest a one season player is somehow worth even comparing with a 25 time GB international is just that bit too far.

good points and i would second all of that. go and read about some of the great players of the past and what they did for the club. its easy to vote for your favourite but this is not what it is really about. knockers bump and freddie miller do excellent jobs on these threads bringing up some of the old names.
also ask your parents and grandparents opinions, they'll have seen more players through the years

Well we have only one Lance Todd winner at the club and he did serve the club for a lot of year Harris gets it for me.
A word of mention to another stalwart , Tony Duke not always first choice but managed to get a cup winners medal in the end of his very long one man club career. Certainly did as much Swain and for many years.
Take kindly the counsel of the years, gracefully surrendering the things of youth. Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune. But do not distress yourself with imaginings. Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness. Beyond a wholesome discipline, be gentle with yourself.;
