As I understand it. The development was relient on. 30 million private investment Local government support (financial ) Cas tigers to contribute 2 million plus a lot of other bits, roads, transport etc.
There is a 20 million shortfall in private investment
Cas tigers don't have the 2 million.
Local government were hoping for Westminster to help them cover there cost as there is no money in the pot.

By the standards of the debate on here does he really need proof? Cas fans fans seem willing to except the ground will be first to be built under the 106 agreement even though no one has seen it or what it says. I think you should look at the York Court scenario to realise how these things can pan out. I would also suggest you do more reading on the inadequacies of 106 agreements in general. Just a friendly warning against complacency.

Keep up!
The Draft 106 has been on the planning website for almost 5 weeks if you need to have a look!
"Castleford's biggest home crowd of the 1991-1992 season wasn't quite 12,000 while on average they'd sit around 6000 but the noise, the chanting and the singing just blows you away" - Tawera Nikau "Standing Tall"
"I can tell you the atmosphere was extraordinary at Wheldon Road on big days. The ground held around 15,000 people, every one of them close to the action on the field and the noise would be enough to send a rumble through the town" - Malcolm Reilly "Reilly - A Life in Rugby League"
