Just had a look at the championship table and both clubs look to be struggling.

How fitting would it be if they finished the bottom 2 after what happened last season. Sport never seems to happen the way you want but this would make a nice change.

I may even step foot in either ground again!

Soon be Monday.

More fitting if Keighley get promoted this season (then hopefully we wouldn't need to step foot in their grounds again for at least another season anyway).

You cannot blame the two teams.
Rules were broken. The failings by the rfl are the problem.

Why not GW?

Had they accepted the punishment originally meted-out by the RFL then we would not have been relegated, so why aren't they to blame?

I agree that the inept administrators also had a hand in it also, but had the Clubs not played ineligible players in the first instance then this sorry saga would never have developed as it did.

I think, the only time I have ever wanted the Dulls to win a match was this year when they played Batley.

I am very surprised with how poor Doncaster are this season, something has certainly changed there.

Is a dream a lie if it don't come true. Or is it something worse?

I would see it fitting that any club using Dual Registration sees themselves near the bottom of the table. Batley is one of the clubs that represents the more sour elements of DR for me (the administration of it or lack thereof). Whereas other clubs represent the unfairness aspect when Dual Reg players significantly affected the outcome of games that we ended up losing.

What has changed at Doncaster? Do they still use Dual Reg to the same extent?

A dilemma indeed. I was hoping they would both lose :(

We are from Keighley. We are NOT Bradfordians.

I completely agree with that initial statement. It didn't do Swinton any good when they were DR'd with Warrington and I hope that's a trend which we will see continue. Swinton don't do it any more so now I can say that I wish them well for the season.
.
Dons is a bit strange. They had some fantastic results last season, albeit they got duffed by Batley at home in the final match    Appen that was the start of their decline. I believe they have used as many as four or five Hull players in their team in at least one game this season but not sure whether they've been doing it regularly. If they have, then sorry but I hope it doesn't work.

They appealed and got what they needed.
The rfl did not put the correct rules in place.
They are to blame full stop.

They are both to blame, in my opinion:

The teams for knowingly doing it

The rfl for not doing something about it.

It would be interesting to see what would happen if those two teams got desperate and did it again. The RFL are already investigating Leeds and their actions with Hunslet and Featherstone. It seems like they may be doing things to try to bypass the rules.

It just says to me that the whole system is a farce

I have only been wrong once and thats because I thought I was wrong but I was wrong I was right!

Petty authoritarians aren’t man enough to challenge the actions of a person face to face; instead they incite a forum of rumour, innuendo and half truths, and impose rude sanctions to discourage those who dare question fairness.

Anon.
