I didn't go to St's today and was not in a position to listen to the game.
To those what went, Did we play well or was this a freak result?
I have criticised Radford on here recently and I fully appreciate that one result doesn't change the tide of opinion, but it would be interesting to know from those there how we played?

Two knackered and depleted teams, tbh the performance wasn't far off games we lost by similar margins (Wigan, Wire etc). Didn't really learn much, but wasn't a fluke. Good to close out a narrow game. Very good debut from Naughton. Thought going into a game with 3 hookers and 3 full backs was mental, but we had no one else available so from that POV not too shabby.

A must win and we did, that is the best thing from the game, the lads will sing their song in the sheds after the match , smiles in training will ensue and its all good... but performance?? similar to many we have seen so far already but its a win , when they hit us for once we didnt hide behind the sticks this time ... as previous poster said , cracking naughton showing he did look really comfortable and got stuck right in, best part of the match..he looks like a favourite in the making to me, very quick too

I didn't go but it could be argued that it was a freak result based on our historical record away at Saints.

I said before the game after seeing the teams that we should be ashamed if we don't win. Perhaps that's a bit strong, but in the circumstances it's certainly a game that we should have won. Saints had less rest and fielded a very inexperienced team, especially in the backs. That said you've still got to go and do the work and get it over the line, and it would appear that we performed a lot better.
I wouldn't call it a fluke, but whether we have turned a corner or not I have no idea. If we are celebrating our 5th win in a row against Salford in a months time then I'll be feeling a lot happier. For now, it's good to get a win, but I still need alot of convincing.

I must confess that when I saw the teamsheet I wondered what the hell was going on.
