Yes - a reminder we are in another Agar-esque siege, exactly the same stand off situation as with the Heths and Agar and us weeping fans. That one took years and a new owner to resolve.
Why did Pearson do this? It is completely illogical to burn your boats in this way in any business, never mind the volatile business of ownership of a sporting club. This vote of confidence, vehement though it is, is mystifying.
You know, it's almost like history is repeating itself.
The old owners sack a coach amid rumours of player rebellion (Kear and Swain) and appoint a good Aussie who takes us to the pinnacle of our playing performance in the last decade. Then they sack him prematurely and appoint his assistant. And Agar goes on and on and on despite all logic and agonised cries from the fans.
The new owner sacks a coach amid rumours of collaboration with the ex-owners and appoints a good Aussie who takes us to the pinnacle of our playing performance of the last 8 years. Then he's sacked prematurely and his assistant appointed amid rumours of player rebellion. And Radford goes on and on....
