In Pearson's defence it's arguably the hardest time since SL started to sign quality players, due to the NRL salary cap and exchange rate changes the big name Aussies don't want to come anymore, and Union is also an option for players like Burgess and Eastmond. 5 or 10 years ago you'd have expected the ageing Aussie stars like Slater, Thurston and Smith to give SL a go for a couple of years, now they'll stay at home and see their career out.
You then get left with a smaller pool of British players, South sea Islanders and relatively unknown Aussies moving between the clubs. While clubs with well run youth systems like Leeds and Wigan keep their own home grown talent.
It doesn't excuse some of the frankly embarrassing transfer dealings of the last 3/4 years, but it's not as easy as the days when we added the likes of Jason Smith, Swain and Kearney to an already decent team and they added the cherry on to the top of the cake.

Yes because we are the only ones that this applies too. Its not about the quality of player that we can now sign we are in the same boat as everyone in terms of who we recruit and the salary cap we spend. Rovers found Kelly. Saints have rejuvenated altea vea and so the story continues. The cap and player pool levels the playing field and so the quality of coaching becomes paramount and that is where Pearson is failing by still employing our coach.

How on earth you can criticise pearson is beyond me.If some billionaire come along with no connection or knowledge of the game along wanting to buy ,would we turn him away because he is not a "rugby man"? yes he has made mistakes through listening to advice from "Rugby men"In any sport you need luck and for Fc thats something we have not had I just hope that Pearson takes all this crap on the chin or it could spell the end because I cannot see anyone coming in knowing the abuse they are likely to get
Please point out exactly what I have stated is untrue/false/inaccurate?

He's the foremost authority on all aspects of running a business, man-management, structuring a training plan, coaching, conditioning, you name it he's the man.
Thanks, I'm glad you appreciate my skillset, now instead of being a facetious know-nowt why not rebuff what I've said with a cogent arguement. Nothing I have said is untrue/inaccurate, but if you'd like to point out exactly what I've said isn't then go ahead instead of being so lame.
PS, I don't know much about conditioning, I've never hinted I do, nor indeed training with regard to rugby which I've stated exactly as much previously, I was more happy to be instructed and be a workhorse on the field. What I do know is understanding people, understanding psychology in the work place, man management and running a successful business. clearly you can't accept that a person is capable of such, how pitiful that your world is so closed.

Ah, another bandwagon banjo boy without the capability to offer any open minded opinion or thought..have you ever thought about just copying and pasting some of the others posts slagging me off, save you the time getting a dictionary out for those big words ..just a thought tiger.

Ah bless. Perhaps when you come down off your pedestal you'll see a little bit of banter when its put to you. And for your information I'm not a banjo boy and resent the remark. Perhaps when you've been following the club for over 50 years you may learn a little respect for those who have.

Am I the only one who cringes with embarrassment at the thought that someone like this says that they also support Hull FC. I guess I must be.
Is Hodgson the new Griffin, or is it all about pace?

And when you show some respect instead of trying to belittle me you just might. You couldn't wait to jump on-board with your low brow dig could you and you got exactly the same in return. I don't go out of my way to play childish insult tactics because someone has an opinion, YOU however did, following on what others had said so what were you expecting?
IF you had an opinion and wanted to say, no sorry you're wrong and this is why then that's fine, it's an opinion, I respect it even if I might argue that you're wrong, that's what forums are about. What forums shouldn't be about is denigrating posters for having an opinion (as you and others have done) , that's not banter BTW and even if you accept it was somehow my response isn't banter?? You can't have it both ways, if you can't take it, don't dish it out.
So, what is your opinion on Pearson and if you think my post is inaccurate/false please say why, there are no need for insults/snidy digs because of differing opinions, as someone of a certain age as you've indicated you should know better.

Yes, just you, do you have an opinion on Pearson or are you just another who wants to have a pop at me, just asking as it's derailing the thread and against the AUP.
