Disappointing and one sided game last night, Widnes with too many players out looked really poor. Thought Salford pack really dominated and allowed Chase and Dobson to do what they do best.
Thought Hood looked very lively, once again proving their are some very good players in the Championship that are capable of stepping up to SL level, I hope we are watching Tom Armstrong very closely at Leigh.
Taylor was great (in fact he has been very good in the games I have seen him play) and will be very good signing if that happens.
Very poor from Chase hitting the injured player (twice).

super league didn't have enough good players to hold down 14 teams, yet there were some good players in the teams that did go down. plenty still there. like k.penny, Armstrong has dropped down to learn his trade and is looking like a useful player. always thought he would come good in the end. but with leigh doing so well and looking like they will be super league next season, would he leave with the job only half done with leigh, or will he stick there and try keeping leigh in super league? (providing they get there)
the super league this season looks like it could be the best one yet. anyone can beat anyone and think the table will show that come the end of the season

widnes lacking depth to their squad and need brown fit quickly, they also picked up a couple more injuries last night. size of the crowd not a surprise.
as for the rest
CAS V hull - we need a win but cas on thir own patch will see us lose yet another close game hull kr v SAINTS - hard to predict as rovers are a model of inconsistency this season but i'll side with the unbeaten league leaders WARRINGTON v Hudds - routine home win WIGAN v wakey - Wigan to rediscover some form here CATALAN v LEEDS - Leeds have a good record in france but Cats need the points - going for an exciting draw
Although I don't think Widnes are that good, any side on a 4 day turn around was up against it from the off. Another triumph for the idiots at the RFL who "plan" the fixtures. I wouldn't be happy if I was a Widnes fan.

Scott Taylor was fantastic and has been in a number of games so far this season. I would love to see him stay on for us, but before the season started we were told he had his heart set on a move back to Hull in 2016.
I thought we were poor in the first 40 and it was only for our clinical finishing that we went in ahead. Much improved second 40 and had we played like that in the first half we would have put 50+ points on Widnes last night. I cant believe we conceded outwide when they only had 12 players on the pitch, criminal stuff that.
Salford Red Devils RLFC.

Widnes will have been aware of this Thursday fixture since last November. It was entirely their choice not to move their game against us last weekend. They could have played it 2 days earlier.

2 criminally poor video ref decisions went in your favour, the Paterson "try" was an embarrassing decision. Having said that, Widnes look set to struggle on grass this season.
rovers doing well against saints. Running their big forwards ragged and roby off with concussion so I think the dobbins will win this one. wigan hammering wakey and hudds winning at wire who seem to be suffering the agar effect
