It seems that Mr Allam has now officially offered the SMC back to the council....

Is Hodgson the new Griffin, or is it all about pace?

Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't Adam Pearson run the SMC whilst running Hull City. If Allam Assam wants to get rid and the council reject his offer to give them it, then why not offer the SMC to AP again ?

I'm sure AP will be closely monitoring the situation. This scenario isn't such a far out idea and would certainly put the "boot on the other foot".

Would be amazed if there wasn't some conditionality on AP not being involved. But £1 for a business with £6m net liabilities, which a couple of years ago pre Allams had net assets? Hmm...

Be interesting to know, how much the LED floodlights, and the pitch, cost to be to Premier League standard????
Yeh its an interesting one but the new company that the council is setting up is to run a lot of museums, Art Galleries, theatres libraries swimming baths, sports centres and Halls that have a deal of liability too. That is set up as a charitable trust compared with a 'for profit' business which reduces a lot of the outgoings considerably.
At least the Council are looking at it and it's good news for the Airco Sports Clubs and every FC fan should be pleased for that bit at least because boy would it be a better scenario for the long term future of our Club if a community Stadium was back in the hands of the community. Having said all that I can't see it being a deal for £1 without it being fraught with clauses, caviats and issues from the Allams side. It's public money too so it might never happen, but its a start at least!

It's Assam Allam.
Just to be clear, Allam isn't offering to 'give' the SMC to the council. He's offered to sell it to them for a notional price of £1, but if it arrives with a debt of around £6m as rumoured then the effective cost to any purchaser is £6m and not the headline-grabbing £1 being bandied about.
Hold on to me baby, his bony hands will do you no harm It said in the cards, we lost our souls to the Nameless One
At last things are moving and I am confident that the apparent losses outstanding by SMC will be investigated ahead of any deal and we should get to the bottom of it. I am convinced the money is related too the running of the stadium in regards to Hull city, new lights, relaying the pitch , new undersoil heating and stadium changes like media rooms etc. They have added FC into the bill as owing a proportion of the costs, the food outlets lose money as they are too expensive, its junk and slow. The whole Allam period has been one of drive down and/or out of every other sports club within the complex and run down the KC in a vane attempt to force a sale.
The guy has a real problem with the word HULL, how long before he wants a name change to East Yorkshire Tigers....
Take kindly the counsel of the years, gracefully surrendering the things of youth. Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune. But do not distress yourself with imaginings. Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness. Beyond a wholesome discipline, be gentle with yourself.;

You'd think he'd offer the SMC to ERC, just to annoy HCC
