Insane teacher be there reminded of the rhyme.
There'll be no mutant enemy we shall certify;
Political ends, as sad remains, will die.
I just wish today's stars would act like legends like Frank Sinatra. I think Hollywood had it right when it made its stars sign morality contracts. That worked perfectly, didn't it?
While this thread seems to be about the rights and wrongs of the Clarkson personality, and whether its all one big act, I'd just like to point out the following....
Clarkson counts David Cameron and Rebekah Brooks as friends, and he also writes regular articles for the Sun....
I'd say the evidence is overwhelming - He is a truly abhorrent human being...
And so you aim towards the sky, And you'll rise high today, Fly away, Far away, Far from pain....

Hopefully he'll go to Sky, or somewhere he can continue to annoy lefties and self-righteous outrage merchants until he dies amid a haze of cigarette smoke, stale ale and burnt tyre rubber.
As May said, he's a knob but I quite like him. Originally because he was refreshingly amusing, and as the years have passed because his humour stood in defiance of the increasingly rabid PC set and loony left. I dread to think how sanitised TV will be in another decade. Might be enough to drive me back down the pub, where people can make and laugh at un-PC jokes without really meaning them or choosing to take offence.
That said, you can't attack someone in the workplace whoever you are, and there was never going to any other outcome to this.
At least the Indy can stop their desperate and embarrassing hourly Clarkson updates on social media.

Those defending Clarkson should ask themselves one question. Would you be happy working for a company that allowed their best salesman to verbally abuse and lamp colleagues, simply because he was their best salesman?
The older I get, the better I was

Put it this way. I happily watch RL even though lamping people on the sly is virtually a part of the job description. It's a man's sport, a tough man's sport. I love EH. Hate the worst rumours against him. But I don't know whether those rumours are true or not. And if they are true I don't know how or why he got there. So I love EH for the player because that legend deserves to be known. All the rest. None of my business.
Hang on. That's present tense. I've almost certainly walking away from RL right now because I cannot stand the utter hypocrisy at the treatment of ZH.
Debate on this, Indie reader. You utter effing coward. I have 100% respect for your friend/gf. Her I support fully. You though are a c***. I am utterly willing to throw homophobic and transphobic comments to you. I just don't like the prospect of hurting her to smash your stupid nasty face in though. Hurting her really does hurt me.
You don't mind hurting people. As long as you can drum up the faux outrage over it to give you an excuse. You deserve the abuse.

Let's just say you work for Norman Foster, and he's an utter c*** just like you. Norman Foster Associates has 100s of people working for him, but they all rely on Norman Foster for their livelihoods. His name gets them work.
If Norman Foster punches his sexy secretary right in front of the whole head office on the Thames. No one rushes to the press to tell. Their pay cheques depend on him. They quite like working for Foster, even if he is an utter c***. None of them want to see their livelihoods smashed. They all know the truth about starchitecture. They see the truth.
(This is an example for thinking people. I think Norman Foster comes across as a really cool guy. I just use him as an example because I love architecture too.)
