In the years I've been going, he's the most eligible for legend status. Phenomenal work rate with his quality seemingly unaffected by it, almost freakish. I'll never forget his charge down in the dying minutes of the cup final after a massive 80 minutes, incredible endurance.

It's sad that SL can no longer attract top players like Swain and Kearney, I hope we can get a marquee player rule where one player is off the cap per team, as adding in 12 big names from the NRL or Union would give the league a massive boost.

The level of quality player that the club has failed to attract almost since he left. Superb hooker and captain.

Legend is a word often misused but in Swains case fully deserved and great to see him back in Hull for Gareth's testimonial.

What we would not give for his leadership today.

If you are not part of the solution then you are more likely part of the problem...

THe reception in The Dugout clearly moved him. When talking about the game, he referred to Hull as "we". Clearly some part of him and his family are still here.

Legend. Not many will have that tag, but he deserves it. He got mobbed walking round the KC too.

Somebody in the Dugout bar shouted out,"i hope you've brought your boots" to him when he was presented to the crowd.Couldn't believe how fit and well he looked.Made an interesting comment about when he played he never called it a game,it was more important than that,it was his work and he had to do it well.Thouroughly nice person who went out of his way with the photos and autographs, well done Richard Swain.

A travesty how he never got the Lance Todd either. All the journalists who chose the trophy were piffed as farts on the free ale and picked Sinfield 20 minutes before the end, according to a friend of mine from the media. Both Swain and Motu were heroic in that game.

20 mins before the start was probably a closer description.

Sinfield got a cut on his head the poor lamb.

Made a mockery of the LT voting system. Should be done after the final whistle. It's not as if they've got hundreds of votes to count.

Seen him jogging down County Road this morning at 8am, still obviously likes to stay in shape. Think it was him anyway Ha
