Angus Young is definitely "on one" over this issue. He's now pointing out several of the glaring inconsistencies in the Allam official line with the actual facts, and not just about this latest abhorrence. Seems his thinking is also in line with many City fans, some of whom are calling for the SMC to be handed back to Pearson as an honourable man with a proven track record. Blummin'eck.
Council meeting tomorrow with the arena on the agenda. Tempted to go and cross my arms and jut my lower jaw in the public gallery.

@angus_young61: Will HCC take decisive action over #AircoEviction or remain an impotent bystander? Might find out at today's full council meeting

I know its been covered before, but with all this arena controversy some people I play golf with were hitting me with the whole "he will be throwing hull fc out of the stadium next" rubbish I know but I couldn't remember the actual facts, would appreciate if somebody could enlighten me

More fundamentally, the issue will arise of the equality of his decision. As a publicly owned facility available to all, will Hull City Academy allow wheelchair fans to join e academy, will they allow women and children to join it?
In short, no. They are excluding minority groups in favour of young men. It is an important angle and one that the pressure group should be exploiting, especially with the FA ahead of any assessment.
[quote="ccs"]FA Academies are being set up for the sole purpose of producing Premiership players of the future, so it looks like I'm excluded as well.[/quote
lol
SportEngland e-mailed me again wanting more info on the stadium,so looks like some ones interested .

Good response from the council in the HDM, I thought. Obviously, winning the argument is probably not even half the battle - but it'd be better than losing it.
On the exclusion of disabled people - that could be thrown at the whole of professional football. Disabled people aren't excluded from competing because they're disabled, not directly anyway (long-shorted footballer Cliff Basten was deaf, iirc). No more than I assume wheelchair users are excluded/absent from some of the amateur teams that are being evicted. If he's excluding other users (disabled or not) and taking it over for the exclusive use of City's academy or repurposing in breach of the agreed terms of the SMC contract, then the council have the option of acting, I imagine. It'll be interesting to see whether the offer of arbitration if/when rejected is a step towards action or towards forming a committee to investigate.
'Thus I am tormented by my curiosity and humbled by my ignorance.' from History of an Old Bramin, The New York Mirror (A Weekly Journal Devoted to Literature and the Fine Arts), February 16th 1833.
Anyone else notice all the Allam/SMC has been ditched by our local media, the council debated it and it was mildly reported last night but today zilch...................
Take kindly the counsel of the years, gracefully surrendering the things of youth. Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune. But do not distress yourself with imaginings. Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness. Beyond a wholesome discipline, be gentle with yourself.;
