Saturday to Thursday is no different to Sunday to Friday which teams do regularly.
This. I think 5 days is the bare minimum needed for players to recover and get even a minimal amount of "match training" in, and it would be much better if all clubs could be given 6 or 7 days turnaround. But a 5 day gap happens regularly for teams throughout the season.
Far from me to agree with Phil Clarke but I think you didn't quite make enough of being dominant in the first half.
As for Hull's issues, as an outsider looking in I reckon your problems stem from never thinking long term. It always appears as if players are signed just because someone is available or a position needs filling rather than getting the right type of player or from any real attempt to build a team.
It seems like a few players are signed and then the coach is told to do his best with what's there. Then next year some will leave and a few more are signed. And so on. Rather than building a team.
