I had a word with Gary Hetherington when he raised the standing price for pensioners by 66% the year after Leeds won their first Champions trophy for over 30 years in 2004. I told him when Leeds were averaging between 5 and 6 thousand in the 70's and 80's these were the people that kept the club going. So yes, I have had my say at Leeds.

You are confirming what I first thought, you are a bit daft. A pre booked ticket (full price£20) is available for pensioners at £13 this season at Headingley. Ask someone to do the maths for you, work out the percentage difference between £13 and £17 and come back to me. I don't think a 35% discount is too bad at Leeds nowadays, hence why I had my little chat back in 2005. Understand ?

Is that seated or standing? It's difficult with OAP's as 1/2 the ones I know are better off than me and have way more disposable income. Not the case for everyone of course

That is for standing, I was just showing like for like what discounts are available for oldies on the cheapest tickets. Both my folks still live on a council estate, pay full rent etc, and aren't exactly flush. My old fellas idea of fine dining is steak night in Wetherspoons.

Like for like in this case was always going to be the cheapest tickets to make a comparison, as you have an all seater stadium. The North Stand is the main stand and Block A is the better seats in the upper tier. Anyway, your mum still got over 25% discount on her ticket, which I don't think is enough, but beats the 15% that Hull offer. This will be my last post on this topic before we send everyone to sleep.

Good to see common sense prevailing, as much as we hate to admit it sometimes both clubs doing well and big crowds is in all of our interests. Would love to see a 'top4' derby at the KC one day.
