The one thing about a ref having a bad game is you can always blame him when you play badly, and a team playing poorly with quite a few reserves playing shows up your teams inadequacies, yet another false dawn perhaps.

I think you will find most of us weren't expecting miracles this season. Top 8 is still a target and achievable
Anybody who thought Salford were going to roll over last night needs a slap, worst result for us was saints hammering them. Chase was chase absolute unplayable, next week he could be pants. Salford still had a very strong team out last night and deserved the win. My only gripe last night was them two team warnings from Roby who clearly bottled a second yellow

Salford deserved the win, but it's 100% at attitude problem with us. Right from the start we didn't tackle or run like we meant it, it was like we were playing a training game. Once we went 10 down we started to play, but the damage was done. The wind was clearly a big factor and being in front at half time was important. We actually did really well to get ourselves in front but then seemed to switch off again.
You will see a different team next week. I actually think we will beat Leeds next week, but until we can start turning up with the right mindset week in week out we will never amount to more than a lower mid table team.

Fwiw the majority of your fans were expecting a top 6 finish according to an earlier thread on your board, however miracles or not you should have beaten a team short of 5 of their stellar signings for this season, if you accept that their defeat to Saints was the worst that could have happened then surely your coach should have addressed this along with a plan to nullify Chase, 2 other teams have already.
I'm sorry but it sounds a bit desperate when you are relying on the ref to give you a leg up by giving a yellow for a team warning, by definition a team warning means they have been penalised numerous times, surely that in itself means you should have taken advantage of this, and if not you should look at your players' and coaching staff as to why not.

complete bolix as usual - for a start the majority of our fans don't post on here, and even amongst those who do the overall concencus was we would do well to just make the 8.
what was more likely said was that if we play well and turn close defeats into wins we could in theory finish 6th, but that's completely different to what you allege

It would be interesting to know how you come to that conclusion, bearing in mind the other comments' in your post, especially against the top scorers, however if your prediction is right you'll make a lot of our fans' happy myself included
