Salford deserve some credit FWIW. Chase was excellent and they were much tougher in the forwards than I expected given their absentee list. But simply not good enough to be losing this type of game.

Radford rightly questioning the two team warnings for Salford with no follow-up sin-binning. But they were good value for their win, no complaints.

Hard to be any other than extremely disappointed after that. Considering our efforts in defence so far our concentration and workrate in defence was nil. Chase produced some moments of real magic on our line, when he plays like that they will score points against any team, but the disappointing thing was the amount of quick play the balls we allowed. Tommy Lee ran us ragged in the first 10 minutes purely because we weren't winning the wrestle. They shouldn't have had the field position for Chase to be able to do what he did. Their second to last try was pathetic. Chase had a free play and 2 or 3 of our players literally turned their back on him as he ran through our line.

In attack we looked pretty good at times, Rankin went well, Mini was a threat and Thompson scored a couple of excellent solo tries. Neither Sneyd or Pryce were brilliant but they linked well at times. Yeaman offered absolutely nothing. We may aswell have sat him on the bench in attack and just bring him in to defend.

I expect a big response and an improvement against Leeds, but until we start turning up to these kind of games with the right attitude we are just going nowhere.

Radio Humberside full of praise at hull fc's performance against injury hit Salford. Radford blames mind boggling officiating for the defeat and the fact Rangi Chase wasn't marshalled better. Picks Thomson as hull MOTM and says only serious injury appears to be Whiting's hand. RH reckons a few of the Radford out texts / tweets were undeserved.

Is Hodgson the new Griffin, or is it all about pace?

There are no easy games this season as tonight has proven on there day any team can beat anyone let's hope we can scrape through more than we let slip.

That's bollox, Saints put 50 past them and they (Salford) had arguably a better team, we have no excuses at all tonight..none. We should have dominated this game but yet again failed to get up for it and the first 10 minutes made a huge difference...
Hate to say it but Lineham has being a shadow of himself since coming back from injury.

Very disappointing result! how can we go from conceding 7 points in 2 games to 32 in one night?! same old inconsistency.

A lot of people on here said wire would beat Catalan (and that included you knocker after just reading your post in the round three predictions) and they got 38 put past them

Chase was quality, unplayable at times, his pass and juggle for their second try in the second half was undefendable
