To conservative 1st half. We should of opened up earlier.
That said still done well. Wire Are a good defensive team themselves. Tala sa Ellis then shaul n westy busted too we've done something amazing to be within a point to be fair. Giants n wire and conceded 7 points!!

Good solid effort tonight, almost sneaked it against a top side. Didn't think Bentham had a bad game tbh, couple of dodgy calls but let the game flow OK. We had the territory but not the cutting edge. IMO the halves looked OK but not much space to play in. Paea and Mini were great, Whiting showed his versatility and big raps to Michaels on what could have been a "rabbit in headlights" position. Disappointed to have lost though. Even missing 3-4 big guns we could have won and probably should have. Hopefully all bar Shaul back for Salford.

Bit disappointed that we lost concentration before the end of the half to allow them to make ground for the drop goal and some of our attack was a bit one dimensional. We need to have support either side of Pryce.

Still 2 points from 4 I'm happy with that and a lot to build on.

Shame we didn't get the win but very pleasing performance full of heart and commitment from everyone in Hull shirt. After playing two very good teams and only conceding 1 try is very a good start and if we manage to find a bit of consistency I have no doubt a top 5 finish is more than achievable . Wire just about deserved the win tbf but could have gone either way .
Looked like a very good crowd tonight , anyone know the attendance ?

Just back from the game. Tbh at first I never realised how many we had missing. No Sa, Talanoa, Ellis, still no Feka

First half - we started well, Hadley played great for twenty mins but the other forwards were invisible apart from little glimpses from Pea. The game the went a little flat and so did we and as soon as Wire lifted there game we was getting cut up. For me the forwards needed to up their game and the play the ball speed needing improving

Second half - Radford had obviously seen the same, tempo was up'd, play the ball speed was up, forwards was much better. Pryce was fantastic and really tried hard. Cunningham came on and was great. Whiting played really well throughout. Mini had another good game, whiting too.

Overall quite happy, a game we could of won but Wire were the better side. We lost it in the forwards imo but Eliis could of been the difference. Green was the worst forward for Hull and really needs to up his game. Why didn't Feka play?

Fine for me. All teams a bit rusty 2nd round but when you lose a centre a winger 1 of the comps best 2nd rows n have a prop in Centre n although whiting done it before he's a back row these days n he's playing fullback it's gonna hurt your attack. Thought pryce had more cutting edge than sneyd but sneyd probed well but took some wrong options. Would of had a few clean breaks/tries 2nd half with Shaul on. Whiting was through nearly 3/4 times but didn't have the pace to capitalise

Thought green was good. Best I've seen him for a while.
Funny how people see things different.

I agree the disrupted backline didn't help. We lacked the size of Sa & Talanoa and the creativity & speed of Shaul. Whiting and Yeaman didn't do much wrong, but sadly don't have the pace to be a threat in the backline anymore.

Not happy with the result but more than satisfied with the effort. Big games from Paea, Houghton, Mini and Whiting. Cunningham and Michaels both did well too. Good noisy support from the fans. Plenty of positives but we need to build on them against Salford.

Warrington have only been kept under ten points five times in the last four seasons.
