To be fair I suppose the more gullible may have been taken in by a photo from a small section of the hall taken at the half time break when fans were replenishing drinks (not £4.20 ones :) but I would have thought most realised the hidden agenda before making silly comments.

Still on to current matters at least Gareth Elliss is getting a good airing, in the HDM particularly, to the run up to his testimonial on Sunday

I imagine anyone of the black and white persuasion, tuning into this event would imagine that they had stumbled on an episode of the undateables, only the outtake version of people too disgusting and hideous to make it onto the show proper.

Just the usual soundbites, nothing you wouldn't have expected him say. Rather see him do his talking on the pitch to be honest which i'm hopeful he will.

Long preview on Look North this lunchtime of ....... Rovers friendly at Warrington on Sunday.

No mention of Gareth Ellis's testimonial, but I guess there's time yet. :)

Edit: Even longer version tonight - no mention (yet) of Hull's game at Wakefield.

Edit: No mention in Saturday evenings edition.

O/T Roosters sign Willie Manu.

Is Hodgson the new Griffin, or is it all about pace?

The fans weren't happy when he left, but he left the UK with a Grand Final medal, £200k payoff from FC and now a swansong with one of Australia's biggest clubs, he'll be feeling pretty pleased with his decisions right now!

I'm only 99.9% sure, but I think by signing on at the Roosters he's now foregone the money we owed him. It was something to do with how long he played for after leaving Hull, that's why he only chose 2 years at Saints.
