To cut a long story short, communications let me down due to trying to get through the barricades but media is a lifeline that is sometimes true or priceless (gold).

I do have to disagree slightly with the initial post re, the RL Press
RL Express will have an article on every SL team in every edition. Also the editorial done regularly comments on Hull. Indeed in the first edition of this year, the editors comment were that he hoped to see Hull start to live up to their potential.
Who cares what the media do? The club want to get their own marketing and promotion in order. The articles on the website are generally cringeworthy and read like they've been put together by an 11 year old who is enthusiastic but still lacks a basic grasp of the English language. I saw something on the wire board the other day about online and social media standings for sporting clubs and we were something like 121st with cas being 6th. We need to look in before we start bleating about the outside world

The initial post said I don't read it very often unless someone highlights an article on FC, which is rare. Not to say we don't get an appropriate amount of coverage for a club of our fanbase and 11th placed ranking. Thanks for relaying the editors comment. I suspect that independent RL pundits would rather clubs with bigger fanbases do well.

I do. External perception and its context is interesting. If you never read a match report or any RL analysis, fair enough.

A bit harsh but I agree with the sentiment. In terms of website articles I'm not sure which club is the benchmark for tone and content, might have a look. I'm not having a generic bleat. As already said, HDM coverage has been FC friendly but over-apologetic, and I like YP articles.
The Hull Daily Mail has always been a rag, but it's clear that their new strategy is to be a 'click bait' website like their National namesake the Daily Mail and Facebook pages like the Lad Bible, ie post vague headlines on social media like 'you'll never guess who's on the move in the transfer window' which makes people click on to to their website where they can fire pop up adverts at them.
That and they seem to be the official media outlet for St Stephens 'footfall on this Tuesday is 13445% up on the 2nd Wednesday in 2010'
Whatever scraps of actual journalism there was left has gone right out of the window, and I like others would like to see more critical coverage on our Sports teams. You could right a book on Allam (good points and bad points) Adam Pearson's takeover of us has brought disappointing returns, Rovers have had to axe their coach and half the squad due to bad decisions etc plenty of things to talk about yet all we get is the 'we're going to put things right, says Bruce/Radford/Chester' cut and paste articles.
