Why isnt the club telling the fans what the hell is going.
We deserve to know.

I don't think there is much to report. The RFL left it to the last possible second to respond to the club and from what i am told the info was sent to the legal team.

I do not think the RFL are willing to discuss any further and the decison stands IMO.

See if the legal team come back with same opinion as my thoughts...

Any one of half a dozen different, fluid scenarios could be evolving and your thoughts are as good as any.
The Rfl may well fall back to the tried and tested "our decision is final" routine.
The only ray of sunlight is we have a good legal team and they may have found a flaw in the appeals meeting or the premiss that other clubs got away with it last year, so we have to let Batley off Scott free this year.

No doubt it will come out when there is actually something concrete to say, but I hold little hope out of the Rfl doing anything remotely sensible.

They can always hold onto their intransigent attitude and wait for our money to run out.

I have only been wrong once and thats because I thought I was wrong but I was wrong I was right!

Petty authoritarians aren’t man enough to challenge the actions of a person face to face; instead they incite a forum of rumour, innuendo and half truths, and impose rude sanctions to discourage those who dare question fairness.

Anon.

There's an update of sorts on the Facebook page. It just says that the RFL used delaying tactics to get the fixtures out and that they only sent out their response (as predicted) late on Friday. It's gone to the legal people who are going through it. It's a slow process so we've to bear with them...

We are from Keighley. We are NOT Bradfordians.

For anybody that has bought or sold a house it is almost always a very slow process because solicitors are involved... everything takes time when legal teams are concerned, I don't expect news for a little while.

Dear John,

Thank you again for your correspondence regarding the situation faced by Keighley Cougars. The Group understands that this is now a legal matter and therefore is unable to take any direct action whilst that process is on-going.

However, the Chairman of the Group has been in communication with the RFL and encouraged a swift and pragmatic outcome to what is a very difficult position for all parties. The Group will continue to seek assurance that all appropriate and sensible action is taken for the good of the game.

Yours sincerely,

Mark Ramsdale
