From a Saints point of view, whilst Meli is a good winger, he's a superb centre. its a pity he won't be getting played there. Regard Puletua, you'll see he's a lot better in the middle of the park. Whilst you might expect his running to have more effect out wide, he struggles to get involved. When he's plying up the middle, the works forced on him a little with very positive results.
From what I've heard from you guys, it would be a shame if Andrew Dixon couldn't hold onto his spot. it would be nice to see him get a run out with the new back up.

Just looking at the squad for next season (early I know) but do we appear to be very short of backs? )Not sure whats happening with Jon Ford or Edwin and Walton appears to be moving into the pack.)
Although on that note looking at its a very youthful back-line and if fact a young squad, I'd guess that more than 20 of the names on the list of the first page of this thread are 25 and under!

Have seen him play a couple of times and he has pace too burn, hope there's a 1st option buy back clause.

This is a big mistake letting this lad go, he's been stuck on the wing all year, when anybody with half a brain can see he belongs in the spine of the team.. Prediction by me, three years time he'll have been signed by a super league team. Probably as a hooker !!!

I think I read something last night mentioning that Stuart Howarth has now left the club, anyone confirm or deny this?

Confirmed. He's meant to be making the switch to union. Probably about his level to be fair.

Must have paid him up. Nosey Parker had him down as serving the remaining year of his contract on ‘gardening leave’, concentrating on his degree in sports science.
