We still don't know the full facts, was the points deduction right in the first place, I don't know , one fact we now definitely know is the RFL did know about the 5 clubs last year and repeatedly warned them but took no action
I think until the full facts if they ever are published we should make judgements
Really think a legal case against the rfl is not a great idea, I don't think you having the backing of the clubs you think you have
Good luck next season whichever league your in

I am not on about one Batley fan I am on about everyone I have encounted since we went down. Not many Batley fan has posted with any dignity. This goes for other message boards and other online sites.
This may not be a Keighley v Batley issue but for me it does not change way I have seen Batley fans act in all this.

Sour taste left from my side of things. I think the fact we have not heard the reason why it was overturned several weeks on shows something is wrong!!!!! The RFL are a joke but we already knew that.

Soon be Monday.

Does that include me then ?
Take a look at your own message board, some cougar fans including your official/unofficial club poster have had some "brain farts"
Let's just stop now and look forward to hopefully the RFL openly discussing the difficult situation ahead

I cannot believe this farce is continuing still.

It really is simple. Keighley just were not good enough and that is down to the players and coaches , no one else.

That might be the case 'Leaguefan' but what about 'Playing according to the Rules'?

You don't care about Rules, or do you?

That's the point.

So why have any Rules at all if they can be broken with impunity?

Let's forget about Rules and let anything go!

I don't think anyone has denied that Keighley could have and should have done more in some games to come away with more points. I think a lot of people are still disgusted by the lack of reasoning from the RFL... and if the clubs had been fined instead of a points deduction then at least the clubs would have been punished for breaching rules and the league table would be identical as it is now. However the clubs have not been punished at all and the RFL appear to be lacking any justification for this!
This EGM has to agree and begin fixing some significant issues in the RFL, the RFL is the farce, not the fact that Keighley and Sheffield are pursuing whatever route it can to get the underlying issues looked at.

Why have Keighley refused to meet the RFL when invited? Why did Keighley refuse to discuss the matter with the RFL AND other clubs at a club forum last week.

Either get on with it or forget it. Disrupting the launch of the new structure will not make you many friends. Don't remember Widnes launching legal action when an extra relegation place was added mid season when they made way for catalan.

Yes you have been unfortunate, but lets get on with it. Still confused also why you are signing players when you seem to be unsure what league you are playing in.

2015 - major missed opportunity, 2016 - stronger teams = harder task (no problem there then), 2017 - OMG What now!!!

The only question who has told you this?

Last I heard is the club was trying to get answers but the RFL would not reply.

Would be interested to know where this info has come from as I doubt we would have refused to meet them?

It is sometimes better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak up and remove all doubt !
