The last Socialist government in this country ended with Thatcher's victory in 1979. Neither the Blair nor Brown administrations were Socialist in any meaningful sense of the word.
And the number of food banks in the UK has grown enormously since the current government came to power, so that's a really poor example to use.

where are kids starving, in fact, I'll qualify that, where are kids starving that is anyone's fault other than the parents that procreated and can't afford them?

Yes it is. In the same way as when you get ill or need the police or drive on the roads or aren't killed by buildings collapsing around you or unsafe working practices, I, along with everyone else, has paid for that.
