"David Conn @david_conn · 23m
Just checked with Court of Arbritration for Sport (CAS). They have not received an appeal by Hull City against the FA re name change. #hcafc"
So, in less than an hour from BBC Sportsday saying,
"14:19
Assem Allam adds: "We have also begun the appeal against the FA's decision via the Court of Arbitration for Sport." "
he's been shown to be very economical with the truth.
He's a first class idiot. Yes he's done some great things for the city and the club, but if he told me the sky was blue, I'd double check.
But, but, but... he spent the whole dreary 45 minutes going on about how he is a man of his word! Didn't you hear him say he couldn't live without principles? How he said he'd act within 24 hours if the FA said no, and how he honoured that promise after 22 hours?
He doesn't lie or make false promises - he said as much about eighty times!
I don't think we've appreciated what he's been up against. Trying to reason with those Labour councillors who havenever travelled further than Doncaster can't have been easy, you know. And, like he said, what difference does it make who owns the freehold? It's what you plan to do with it what counts. Assem was going to build a hotel you know. He said so today. Hang on, what happened to the 'sporting village'....?
No, I must've got that bit wrong, him being a principled man of his word, and all.

Ooh! Now that nasty Carl Minns is at it too! He's just tweeted:
"Since day 1 of this farrago Allam has NEVER put a bid in to buy the stadium. Complete red herring twitter.com/RadioHumbersid…"
Now I know he was a LibDem and all, but I reckon he's never been past Doncaster either. What that good Dr has had to put up with! Still, he knows he's an honourable man.

@david_conn Checked with Football Association: they've heard nothing regarding any appeal to CAS by Hull City regarding the "Tigers" name change #hcafc
Just listening to the presser. Said arbitration process started a few weeks ago and when asked how long the process would take, said he didn't want questions focussing on it.

Might not need to buy it. If the appeal is rejected and no-one buys the club before the decision is made, he'll give Hull City away.
And he's a man of honour who once he's said something, he acts on it. Without fail, don't forget.
