I didn't want you to beat us on Sunday and was looking forward to stopping the party, but as we didn't I'm behind cas to win the LLS, though it will be tough as it's not really in your hands.
As for playoffs, the game at Wembley will hopefully help show what needs to be done. Leeds raised their game, and will again in the playoffs. Cas need to be able to do the same.
I'll support Cas through the playoffs, partly because they are the under dog, but partly because they have done everything this season to show they are a top side and are still not viewed that way.
William Hill have Cas at 9/1 along with Hudds to win the GF. Only Catalan and Widnes are lower. There is a thread on HKR forum where someone tries to show progress against the teams outside the top 5, but don't include cas as a top 5 team, even though on Sunday they could be number 1. Plenty of fan comments, not just from Wakfeild saying it is a one off.
I hope Wakefield do better than Cas every time we play and in the league, but I think Cas deserve more respect for what they have done this season. Making Old Trafford would be a way of forcing that idea.

Ditto! I think that expresses my feelings almost better than I could have done myself.
Aside from the odd few who we would never hear the end of it from, I would love Cas to do well in the playoffs for the fans of your club, but also for the fans of other 'unfashionable' clubs as it would give us hope.

Leagues Leaders shield by the way is that you are in the lead up to the point of the play offs. If it was champions or League winners it would say it.
What was it you referred to us as on your board? Poor little Cas?
Don't be so mean spirited fella, we'll promise not to get ahead of ourselves and remember our place.
Was you so dismissive of the league leaders shield before your 4 league defeats on the bounce and realisation you'd finish 6th?
It might be a token award and mean nothing to clubs who regularly win pots, but it's still better to win it than not win it, surely? Especially now it offers a guaranteed gig against an NRL club.
No idea if we'll win it, but massive achievement if we do.

You might want to wind that neck in just a little. Re read what I put on that board about poor little Cas before suggesting anything else. I bet I have been to more Cas games than you this season, so please do not take my post as anything close to sour grapes. I really hope Cas top the league, as I have so much time for Powell especially, I was just correcting the statement of winning the league, when it isn't that.

Fair do's
Though I do believe coming top of the league table does mean you have won the league, i do understand its not winning the grand final or gives you the right to call yourself champions.

Hope you guys do win it ....you certainly deserve it after keeping your great from up all season...word of warning though, be prepared for the 'it doesn't mean anything' and 'you only won it cos the big clubs aren't bothered about it' crap we go tlast year, whatever happens though you've had a fantastic season ..all the best !!
All I can say is that in the 50 years I've been supporting Cas we have come closer to winning the play-offs than finishing the regular season on top of the league. While I always entertained the hope we might once have the glorious month necessary to contest/win the GF the prospect of a club with our resources collecting more league points than anyone else has been unimaginable. I still believe a GF success is possible down the line but this is surely as close as I'll ever get to see us winning the LLS so sod Old Trafford and gimme the hubcap.
