Me and a few friends will be going for a day out in Huddersfield in a few weeks. We're looking for a good town centre pub that shows Sky and preferably has a good selection of cask ales and craft beers etc. Can anyone recommend a place?

You are going to struggle in the town centre to get sky and decent beer in one place!

Quality of pubs in Huddersfield is very poor. Most are weekend pubs looking to attract teeny boppers. The others are complete dumps that the pub companies have let go to rot.
There are a handful of decent ones. Head of steam,Grove,Sportsman.
However don't know many with a big screen for sport. Possibly try the Crown. Not a great pub but not the worst and always has sport on the tv.

Ale and Sky, probably the Vulcan. Quality of pub....

Yes agreed forgot about Vulcan.

The Warehouse is much better since it's refurb and has quite a few ales and craft beers and plenty of screens with Sky Sports.
