Does anyone have news on him? All I can find are a few vague tweets and it sounds like it could be serious. The commentary team on the radio said his wife was even down at pitchside with him before he was taken away in a neck brace; which seems pretty dire.
Congrats on an incredible season. I can't wait to watch you snatch the LLS from Saints .

I couldn't help breaking away from watching the game as he was laid on our side of the field, there was a lot of attention with even the Wakefield doctor being involved and it was some time before he was carried away, at one point there was another two Cas players in need of attention too in play, cant help think that the game should of been stopped due to the seriousness of his injury even though he was off the pitch

I'm led to believe he has has a neck injury before that has required surgery and when put in his back his head whacked the floor causing whiplash. Hope it's not too serious
There was two tackles Where the wheldon road end were asking for blood. I spoke to a colleague who supports the tigers and she said they were good tackles. The trip I am not sure about though as think Child gave benefit of Doubt to us saying he got him with his hands first but signaled high tackle.

From what I heard on the radio there was big big hit on Carvell by Tautai, after which Carvell stayed down. After receiving attention from the physio, he got back up and pushed Tautai in the chest. After that Tautai ran the ball in on the first drive and Carvell went in to hit big but apparently mostly missed. While this was happening the commentary on the radio said that the sideline staff were going crazy, waving to get Carvs off the field but he wouldn't go. Eventually they said he went off and he was walking with wobbly legs and looked dazed still. Then they said he was lay down on the sidelines and his wife was down there with him. After a while he got taken away strapped to a stretcher with his head taped in place.
I have never heard of a players wife coming down to the sidelines for an injury before and I can't recall a time when a player has received treatment on the sidelines, let alone be stretchered off from there.

Rhs Evans' Mum was pitchside as they attended to his injury last week against Huddersfield! I guess those who are closest would be most affected should the untoward occur. I for one, would be there if it were my child or spouse. Best wishes to Gaz, speedy recovery big fella, and best of luck to you Tigers at snatching the shield from under the Saints' noses!

He just tweeted that he is seeing a specialist tomorrow after having scans today, and a picture of him smiling with thumbs up (albeit in a neck brace).
