Let me be clear,I am not suggesting that he caused us to lose the game, however whilst our players are being hauled over the coals for their performance,I assume this incompetent person just carries on in his smug way, potentially losing people their jobs Apart from all the usual mistakes, that all who were there witnessed, there was one incident that I would like to highlight. On about the hour mark on our 30 metre mark,3 Salford players tackled the Wakefield 5? As the official called held, the player was bent backwards and banged his head on the turf,I believe a complete accident. Hick did not see it as he was looking up the defence line.he then walked to the T.J. Peter Brooke, who we clearly saw report that he felt there was no foul play. Hick then called Adrian Morley out, spoke and then put the incident on report.he then gave a penalty to Wakefield, for an incident he may not have seen, and from which Wakefield scored from. I see today that we have no charge for the above incident. I am not one who is obsessed with officials, but one really must question the abilities of a group of officials, who believe me think they are performing well.

I just made a comment on another topic about the referee on Sunday and our supporters reaction to his decisions. For me, Robert Hicks got 90% of his decisions spot on although the TJ made some dubious calls and did not help him out. The incident you referred to with Junior Sa’u was a legitimate fair and hard tackle, as you say the momentum of the tackle forced the Wakefield attacker to bang his head off the turf and lose consciousness for a few seconds. It was the TJ though who once the referee had stopped play to allow treatment, walked onto the pitch and informed the referee that it was a penalty to Wakefield because of a dangerous tackle.
PS Wakefield scored because 5 of our defenders couldn't stop big Ali, not because of the penalty.

Jinjer, the report system is for incidents that the official believes may have been foul play,in other words doubt.why would you want to report something you haven't seen? John Gilbert,my point is poor performance of officials, not that Ali Lautiti beat us. Being pedantic,Peter Brooke reported a previous incident not the one in question. He saw no foul play! Believe me.
1st question: How many errors did the referee actually make during the entire game?
2nd question: How many player errors were made during the entire game (Reds and Wakey combined)
Are we now saying that referees are not allowed to make any errors????
Don't get me wrong, it gets on my goat when I see poor performances by the officials, however, there is no conspiracy or bias against Salford, the officials errors, predominantly affect each team equally - it's how the players respond that makes a difference
On the 8th day, God created Rugby League On the 9th day, Satan created Salford. A battle ensued through to to late on the 12th day. A few hours later, a truce, and on the final stroke of midnight, Code 13 was created... Heaven and Hell combined forces and delivered Salford Red Devils...a legacy is born!!!!!

"On report" is now totally and utterly pointless. Every incident is reviewed anyway whether put on report or not isn't it? It's just used as an excuse for the official not to take action IMO

THE DEFINITION OF INSANITY IS DOING THE SAME THING OVER AND OVER AGAIN AND EXPECTING DIFFERENT RESULTS

So why go into such a huge rant, then?
"I am not one who is obsessed with officials"
But it's not the first post you've made about poor officiating.
I agree with JGR. Ref had a decent game, liner had a few "whoops" moments, but nothing warranting the abuse they received.
This post looks to me as saying "end of thread" and I agree ***awaiting another blast from lou kate***
