Guardians of The Galaxy - went because Mrs D wanted to. Bit of a silly kids film which I thought in the first few minutes I would just sleep through. To show willing I persevered and managed to keep awake for the first half hour and then ended up enjoying it. Came away a bit confused as to my overall view. The key to the film was it had strong characters, which is what saved it / made it. Plot was standard Star Wars type nonsense. I'd rate it 7.5 / 10.
Guardians of the Galaxy - saw this with the usual trepidation; I'm a big comics fan and they keep ruining em with crap films. Enjoyed this one though - it was irreverent, fun and didn't take itself too seriously. Good stuff!

Dawn of the Planet of the Apes: 9/10.
Superb. Can't really fault it. Didn't just rely on action (although there is plenty), but has a very strong, gripping story and engaging characters throughout, and yes the visuals are fantastic. Thoroughly enjoyable.
Transcendence - 4 Could have been really good. Should have been really good. But I've no idea what it was trying to say and I it just ended up being really dumb.

As i've seen you post in the Gaming thread occasionally, i'd recommend playing the Lego games that are based on various film franchises... good fun platform-style games with a lot of that humour
The Wolf of Wall Street - Great soundtrack and overall a really good film. Jonah Hill plays a great part. My only negative would be the lack of timescale in the film for when everything really happened. The movie suggests predominantly the late 80s and very early 90s. The real Jordan Belfort wasn't actually arrested until 1998. 8/10
The Inbetweeners 2 - Was skeptical about this despite the ''better than the first'' praise it had received, but went in thinking so long as they don't recycle the jokes it'll be funny. Probably contains the funniest scene (water slide) of the two films but this isn't enough to justify a sequel. The storyline was a bit disjointed and I found myself not laughing for long periods of time. A generous 4/10
