You really are a twonk sometimes.

Maybe those who belive something should get there facts right.
The players did come over to thank the fans. Lots of other fans and me saw them do it.
It really isnt hard to understand.

Well for those of us who were there and saw it know the full facts.

The person who told me isn't given to flights of fancy and is a firm and loyal supporter both home and away. It's obvious to me that the players delayed their approach to the fans during which time many had left the ground.

It really isn't hard to understand.

Good, I'm glad to hear that, players should always thank the fans, no matter what. It's just a shame that some had already left and missed it.

It really isn't hard to understand.

Please, spare me the "aren't I a good fan for travelling to Whitehaven" routine. I attend most home games and 70% of away games. I was on holiday in Alaska and forgive me if I wasn't about to swap walking amongst glaciers and boating amongst humpback whales for the joys of Whitehaven.

It really isn't hard to understand.

Your petty posts make you look a bigger twonk than I thought you were - and that is very easy to understand ;-)

I have only been wrong once and thats because I thought I was wrong but I was wrong I was right!

Petty authoritarians aren’t man enough to challenge the actions of a person face to face; instead they incite a forum of rumour, innuendo and half truths, and impose rude sanctions to discourage those who dare question fairness.

Anon.

Location: Cougar park - Where the knitted character would want to be every week!
When the final hooter went the players did the necessary hand shaking with the jam eaters then gathered together in a circle, presumably to discuss there and then why the match had gone away from them
once the team talk was done they made their way to the side of the field where the cougar fans were and applauded them.
I was ready for home so was already on my way out, I see no reason however why fans who wanted to be applauded couldn't be a little more patient whilst this team talk was ongoing.
I can see both sides of this, maybe an open mind is what's required rather than instant criticism

Theres only one way to decide - FIGHT!

A reasonable post Harry

People moaning about players not thanking the fans is going to cause problems.
Fans will think the players dont care.
We really dont need that sort of negative comments. Espeacially when its not true.

My reason for posting had nothing to do with anyone being a better supporter. For a start i dont even know you.
I was stating that i was there and saw first hand that the players did come over to the fans.

Time to move on from Whitehaven I think. They can't even make fish and chips right so thats me out.

Last point on Haven then, a director also thought it was a seven tackle try when I was chatting to him last night. What a joke.

Right Sheffield next, who's in?

Soon be Monday.

I might aswell finish this as it was my original
post.In my original post I stated aknowledgent
not clapping. In my opinion fans waited a considerable
time behind the posts where they were stood
For the second half, not at side of pitch.personally
we had walked to the halfway line and then up
the terracing where we could not see the pitch.
It looked liked some players wanted to come
over but for some reason did not.Its not at all
about wanting to be clapped by the players,it's.
a two way thing.to lift the players in defeat and
for us as fans to be lifted for next game.Dont
take kindly to be accused of lying,we are genuine
supporters of this club with some passion who have
willingly put their money where their mouth is
We feel saddend we feel like this but probably
still have more passion and dedication to our club
than most.

I don't have a problem with that but I do have a problem with you calling the source of my information a liar. It's confrontational, ignorant and downright rude, especially when you could have used the word "mistaken". You can use any excuse you want, but it still won't change that fact.

Absolute rubbish. This is a forum, not an appreciation society. It has served the useful purpose of eliminating a misconception.

Maybe if the person telling you, had said we didnt see the players. Instead of saying they didnt, none of this would have happened.
That is what i have objected to.

I stand by my statement, anyone saying the players didnt thank the fans is lying.

I will agree with anyone who says i didnt see the players thank the fans.
