Given the public's appetite for Nigel Farage's "normal" way of speaking, should Joey set up a rival party given his straight talking-bloke in the pub with his mates-manner? For those who didn't see Question Time last night:

Certainly he shocked and outraged the PC brigade.

The fact that you've quoted this from "celebrity news" suggests no. The fact that he's an overpaid footballer with a criminal record suggests no. The fact that he wouldn't have a clue if he got elected anywhere suggests no.

Not looking too promising...

That hasn't stopped UKIP councillors and MEPs getting elected.

Nor Tories, nor LibDems, nor Labour candidates.

After seeing the guest list for last night's show, I deliberately avoided watching it. I had absolutely no reason to sit through a pair of 2@s like Barton and Piers Morgan duking it out on TV. Although I may watch on iPlayer after hearing about the raving loon from UPRIK and Morgan's attempts to take the moral high ground on any subject should prove amusing.

I'd pay a few quid to see them duke it out in a boxing ring though.

Maybe Joey Barton’s comment has gone over some heads, he is obviously attempting through analogy to convey the notion of the delusion of choice within a ‘managed democracy’ such as the UK.

Voter 1 says to Joey “Bullet or a knife” Joey says, “neither thanks” Voter 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, etc think Joey is an idiot and carry on never questioning what they were taught on their mothers lap.

Politics would corrupt Joey.
