To be fair, what did you expect from a film about giant robots fighting giant monsters? I'd seen the trailers and a couple of reviews and for me it did exactly what it said on the tin. It was never after an Oscar, just a smash 'em up that sells toys.

Anyway, 'I, Frankenstein' - 7/10. Enjoyed this. After the first few minutes I though 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer in different clothes', but it kept me interested despite a few Buffy-esque special effects. Again, watch the trailer and it does exactly what it says on the tin.

It to be good? And I say that as someone who likes both giant robots and giant monsters - I don't think the subject matter precludes it from being a good film.

Thought pain and gain was quite good don't mind Wahlberg going up watch lone survivor tonight

Lone survivor 8/10 been based on a true story made it better and it was quite moving at the end when it showed photos and home movies of the real men who were killed in action

I like MW movies myself tbh seem to watch the shooter every time it's on tv for some reason

No, but as I say the trailers didn't hide much. Perhaps I just had different expectations; I never expected a great film, just big special effects and a cheesy plot and something to kill a bit of time, and as such I wasn't disappointed.

Non-Stop: excellent. A few holes in the plot but those can be overlooked for an engaging rollercoaster of a film. Definitely worth a watch. 9/10.

21 Jump Street: enjoyable comedy, if not particularly 'laugh out loud'. 7/10.

Best film I've seen of his is Ted.

X-Men: Days of Future Past - 8/10

Very good and makes up for the last one which was poor. A definite 'cinema movie' to get the experience and full appreciation of the film.

Kick Ass 2 - really disappointed with this after enjoying the first one so much; it doesn't quite know what it wants to be and as such, meanders all over the place. More dead Dads than you can shake a stick at and at one point, it veers off into Heathers/Carrie territory in a clumsy attempt to deal with Hit Girl's predicament as a 15 year old lethal assassin trying to fit in at school. Rubbish.

5/10.
