Its little wonder UKIP have done so well, if people have based their voting on a similar logic to yours.

Of course I have read their manifesto, but I have very little faith in any political party to deliver what they put down in there, the Tories didn't mention what they were going to be getting up to in their last one you'll notice.

As I say, I don't trust any of them, but the "big 2" have proved they aren't fit for purpose, Ukip still has a modicum of potential to surprise me.

As I've written on here for years that sort of idiocy is what drives backlashes and extremism. UKIP's popularity is one of the first manifestations of that. Telling people what to think, calling them -ists when you disagree with them is evil and stupid. Guess what normally happens to evil and stupid people - the majority rises and crushes them when they are sick of them.

What a horrible racist I must be!

When you say Green what's the point - why? They got three times the MEPs as the LibDems and they're in government! Need to vote for them to change things (as shown by UKIPs rise).

Mostly the former unfortunately. People like to make out we are some wonderfully diverse nation where everyone accepts each other. But when push comes to shove Britain as a country is inherently racist.

A common phrase you hear when discussing these things is "I'm not racist, I just think we should be helping out own before sending money abroad." Well I'm sorry, but if two people need aid and you choose to give it to the British guy purely because he is British, then that is the definition of racism. Maybe I'm naive, but as far as I'm concerned we all live on the same planet, and if someone wants to come here to make a better life for themselves and to try to contribute to society I couldn't give two f**ks where they are from.

Most bigots don't like being called bigots, this doesn't stop them being bigots however.

I agree with the last bit, anyone who wants to come and make a better life and contribute is more than welcome by me also. However, wanting the government to cut it's aid budget to increase spending in the UK is not racist... in the slightest.

Unfortunately they wouldn't be welcomed by UPRIK or many tories. They'd be turned away at the border before they could be given a chance to show what they are capable of.

A very dear friend of mine arrived here 7 years ago to pick strawberries, her first week's wages, after accommodation costs and agency fees were deducted was £19 for a 60 hour week. She thought she'd come for a few months and then return home with a load of money in the bank. After the strawberry picking ended, she took various jobs in warehousing etc but somewhere along the line, it was discovered she had an aptitude for writing code.

She is now a recognised expert in Java, working for an IT solutions company in Berkshire and should graduate from the OU next year with a BSc in IT. She now considers the UK to be "home" and has no intention of ever leaving.

That talent would have been lost, had UPRIK been in charge of our borders.

Mind you, there's still something to get the narrow-minded frothing at the mouth. She will shortly be embarking on transition from male to female, all funded by the NHS.

All peoples in your terms are "inherently racist." Just in Britain - look at certain Muslim "communities" systemstic rape and abuse of white girls (did they "care" for them?); the Chinese community call us "white devils" and say we all stink (among themselves); white people among themselves make derogatory comments about immigrants / non-white people regularly when they assume others in a group will not jump down their throats. The whole "racism" industry / thought police is / are required to try to counteract this. There will always be a constant strain and at different times in our country's future one or other will be in the ascendancy to differing degrees.

But surely that decision would have been for the Brussels gravy train bureaucrats anyway (if UKIP propaganda is to be believed)? We've lost control of our borders!!!!!
