It was a day out in Huddersfield 'letting the train take the strain' with a pint in Leeds en-route back (details to follow) ...

I am looking forward to it.

Church House ... Zeunerts Swedish IPA 5.5% Klosterbrauerei Scheyern Klosterbock 6.5%

A Swedish ale following by a German brew and both very nice indeed!

Huddersfield Saturday (before and after the Wanderers match) ...

Head of Steam ... the wonderful Olde Trip
Cherry Tree (JDW's) ... Otter Admiral Ale 4.8% & Adnams Red Ale 4.5%
Herberts Bar ... something called Championship Ale 3.9% (I asked who brewed it, they couldn't tell me) plus Bosun Brewings Bermuda Triangle 4.1%
The Wellington ... Theakston Cresset Ale 4.0%
Kings Head ... Oakham Bishops Farewell 4.6%

plus en-route back a quick pint of Leeds Midnight Bell in the Leeds Brewery Tap.

Sunday evening ... Doncaster ...

Red Lion ... Hildegards Solange 6.0% (Belgian) & Yeastie Boys Gunnamatta Tea Leaf IPA 6.5% (Kiwi)
Angel ... Acorn Dr Rudi 5.0% (non-festival ale)
Gatehouse ... Adnams Red Ale (again)

Purity Saddle Black 5.1% & Titanic Iron Curtain 6.0%

Inveralmond Marzenfest 4.5%

Preferred the latter out of the three.

Managed to spot a couple more from JDW festival last night which I'd not previously tried ...

Gatehouse ... Mauldons Lemon Adder 4.0%

Had a non-festival American ale in the Angel last night ... Sixpoint Brewery Hope It Rains 5.0% - not bad at all.

Also in the Tut, Cottage Brewing's Battle of the Blues 4.7% was even better!
