Said it weeks ago and a reminder to the ones who slagged off my post ITS GOING TO BE A LONG LONG SEASON Wire were woeful No gameplan No creativity No flare No organisation No concentration And nearly no points ! And I'm afraid no halfback partnership The pack is light but worked their socks off maybe that's not good enough but I think they laid the foundation to win that game but our backs are woeful If TS is happy with this setup take off the rose coloured specs We should have bought big in the close season either we are skint or too arrogant to think this team is good enough Don't bark on about its early doors yet for goodness sake this is it folk and I don't think it will get much better This is a transitional period and probably the next 2/3 seasons are going to be frustrating so hold onto your faith if you have any left!! Best part of last night , the ball boy coming on ..... Picked up the ball carried it 15 metres and didn't drop it !! Simples!!
To be fair we lost Briers in October unexpectedly, difficult to recruit a quality half in a few months. I'd rather we wait a year and recruit quality than bring in any one to fill a gap.
I suspect Warrington have something planned. Your ins and outs didn't marry up when Briers left. You aren't a million miles away though, you remind me of Saints over the last couple of seasons. If you put Luke Walsh and Alex Walmsley into that team for example you'd be a very different side.
Is it worth a season of pain if you've got a top Aussie 7 and 8 lined up for next year?
as above. Briers replacement will be lined up for next season. And for all the people writing us off for this season they are being very premature as there is still plenty of quality.

I knew the minute Briers retired we were in for a difficult season, which compounded the loss of Morley, Carvell & Hodgson especially from a leadership perspective.
I just hope that the current performers; Hill, Westwood et al dont pick up any significant injuries, otherwise we'll be lucky to win more than we lose this season.

Rugby League is not about performing now but at the end of the season. We all know this yet some are writing off the season now, yes we are playing crap but that does not mean we will not be fighting for trophy's at the end of the season, After the last 5 years how can anyone question Tony Smith after 3 defeats against Leeds, siants and wigan in the first 6 games. Go home do your homework and watch newsround.
We will be fighting for the cup and playoffs as more as any one else, its just going to take a few weeks maybe months, we werent great at start of last season either only hitting form after we losr to Hull FC, by the end of March last year we had lost 3 and draw 1.
We have lost our No 1 and No 6 plus two go to props, even if 3 of the 4 missed chunks of last season anyway its still massive to go without all 4 this year getting Russell back fit at 1. is huge for us, he adds much needed speed to the backline and allows Ratchford and whoever to form a bond at 6 and 7 which takes time.
Can I just point to those making comments like "we all know it's only the last few weeks of the season that matter" that this is patently NOT the case anymore.
We may well be in playoff contention come the business end of the season, but this year we'll be coming up against sides who are fighting to avoid the trapdoor and for their very survival and not, as in previous years, teams coasting through to their end of season holidays.
