SOMEBODY SAID that it couldn’t be done But he with a chuckle replied That “maybe it couldn’t,” but he would be one Who wouldn’t say so till he’d tried. So he buckled right in with the trace of a grin On his face. If he worried he hid it. He started to sing as he tackled the thing That couldn’t be done, and he did it!
It is. A lad at work joked when it first went missing that they would have to struggle past the smoke monster and befriend the polar bears in case the others came.
Everything about it is just weird from the start. The last thing I heard on the news was some expert going on about how 'they' had expertly disabled the communications systems then flown the plane for 5 hours, then 'most probably' ran out of fuel over the ocean.
And at no point did the news anchor ask why someone would plan and execute a move to expertly disable the communications system, execute it, then deliberately crash the plane into the sea, or forget to check the fuel gauge? What would the motive be? If it were just to kill those on board, why the need to disable the communication system?

My theories. 1. The pilot tried to fly to space, and succeeded. 2. The flight never even existed, computer hackers just made it look like a plane had been lost and this has been the fall out. 3. Aliens have nicked the plane.
My best guess of a genuine nature would be one of the pilots having a serious mental breakdown and crashing deliberately into the sea. Don't really want to imagine that though. I'd prefer if the plane had been landed on some remote airstrip, but I think that we'd have somehow heard from the passengers if that was the case.
