Well I guess the tone last night was set when, as we sat down with a few cans, I made the observation "wouldn't you look like a right t0sser if you botched the snap on the first play of a Super Bowl" and proceeded to see exactly that happen.
Gonna be a miserable sleep deprived day.

That was probably the longest and most painful NFL game I've sat through for a long time. Everything that could have gone wrong, went wrong for Denver last night. The botched snap, the fumbles, the INT's, the kick off return etc etc. The defence for the Jermaine Kearse TD was appalling. Manning never really got going and that was down to the intensity of the Sea Hawks pass rush.
Well played Seattle. Their defence was scary last night. I honestly don't think anybody in the NFL would have got near them last night.

Not suprised Seattle managed to win, atlhough i picked Denver. I am suprised by the manner in which they did it.
Will be interesting if they can keep the Legion of Boom and the defence, especially the depth, together given many key players are on rookie deals. Wilson, Sherman and Earl Thomas (amongst others) are likely to get bumper deals in the next season or two. They have benefited from having key performers on miniscule deals which means they have cash to spend on depth elsewhere. Soon that will change. Something San Francisco will also find out soon enough too with the likes of Kaepernick and Aldon Smith (i think) coming up.
Something we are dealing with, to a lesser extent, this off-season.

Always happens doesn't it players of winning teams getting their heads turned by bigger pay cheques elsewhere...remember Desmond Howard?.
Probably will lose a few players but while the big three off the field (Allen, Schneider, Carroll) hang around feel the team will be competitive at least.
