Absolutely. There's really not that much of a divide in terms of some attitudes. You see it time and again.

Only last week after a report somewhere on the Hollande business, some woman (American, I think) was shrilling away about 'we poor, put-upon women' (IIRC, she actually also said: "We [women] have enough of a burden to bear"), but she then went on to suggest that adulterous males have their "bits" cut off. In public.

It's completely extremist. It also conveniently dodges the idea that a woman ever has an affair – it's the men who are to blame entirely. And to an extent, that's a mirror or the extremist Islamic view that the woman has to cover up so as not to tempt the man – a view that then sees a woman somewhere like Saudi Arabia being punished if she dares to report as rape.

TBF, such people don't go out and act according to what they say, but you sometimes wonder whether that's simply because they don't live in a society where they could expect to get away with it.

To be fair, the UKIP guy has a point. God has made him stupid and ugly for being bigoted, so God does have form in the "unusual punishment" department.

Can't take credit for this but

UKIP (if elected) plan to save jobs at BAE Portsmouth by commissioning the building of an Ark to save us from the impending Gay Floods.

It's been fun.

I met Bloom a few times in the 70's. He's turned out to be a far more sensible, well rounded and broad minded character than I expected at the time.

What a tool that man is. I hear Putin says he has gay friends.
