We've beaten Denver already at their place but don't think we will do it again. If we do, excellent. If not, it's been a good season for us and it's onwards and upwards from here. Hopefully we will keep our OC as he has done a great job and will only get better next year when Green becomes our no.1 TE slot play and also Alexander and Floyd back.
In the offseason we need to look at mainly our secondary. Struggled a lot this year and is my main place for concern. Maybe 1 more Line Backer also.
I agree on pretty much every point. I had the Chargers down to beat the Bengals. The run game has been outstanding over the past month, along with a better defence and both came through. Melvin Ingram (coupled with Jarrett Johnson's return) has made a massive diference since coming back. He's transformed a pourous defence to a capable one.
I would love to keep Whiz but can't see it hapening unfortunately. I think he'll be in Detroit next year. He has been great working alongside McCoy and Reich. If he does go, I fully expect Frank Reich to take the reins next year, which I'll be happy with. I wouldn't be too upset to see Chudzinski coming back to SD a the OC as another option.
Offseason wise, I will trust Telesco as he has made some great decisions this year, excluding the Derek Cox deal - which was widely congratulated by journalists! Woodhead, Dunlap, Reinhart and Reggie Walker have all made big contributions. Draft wise we couldn't have done better than we have with Fluker, Te'o and Allen in the first 3 picks. Three starters and one who should win rookie of the year. In the off season I would like to see a pass rusher to pair with Ingram and a top end CB to play opposite Shareece, do that and I'll be delighted! We have to pay Butler too. Get that tied up the first week of our off season.
