I drive a car designed for the ignorant and stupid, it's lights come on automatically. In my case it's dementia.

Most times its forgetfulness, not checking, I followed someone out of a Morrisons last night with their lights off, they drove off up the main road with them off - in all seriousness in a lot of city centres you as a driver don't need them , thats not to excuse the illegal behaviour but it partly explains why its not immediately apparent when someone forgets.

The last car I had saw the dashboard lights come on automatically, even when the headlights weren't on. I must be honest, it threw me the first time I drove at night.
